OfflineTTS has not published a blinded listening panel, fixed corpus, sample count, confidence interval, or current first-party score that would make the grade a reproducible quality ranking. A higher-sorted voice can still mispronounce a name or fit a particular script less well than another preset.
For a meaningful comparison, keep the text, language, model precision, speed, browser, backend, and playback level constant. Use several sentences containing the real project's names, numbers, punctuation, and longest phrasing. Listen for intelligibility, prosody, artifacts, clipped chunk boundaries, and consistency; record the voice ID rather than only the friendly name. If a public recommendation relies on listening tests, disclose the passage, environment, date, and how many samples were reviewed.

For non-English voices, OfflineTTS sends the text to a lightweight phonemization service, then performs waveform synthesis in the browser. The generated audio is not uploaded for synthesis.

Yes. The browser tool does not require signup or an API key. Each generation accepts up to 50,000 characters, and you can export the result as WAV or MP3.
English generation can work offline after the model and voice files are downloaded and cached. Non-English text uses a phonemization service before the Kokoro model synthesizes the audio in your browser; the generated waveform is not uploaded for synthesis.
